UK Permanently Bans Cigarette Sales for Anyone Born After 2008
The UK Parliament has passed the Tobacco and Vapes Bill, which will permanently ban anyone born after January 1, 2009, from ever legally purchasing tobacco products in a bid to create a completely smoke-free generation. Phased Age Increase: Starting in January 2027, the legal age to buy tobacco will rise by one year, every year. Vaping Excluded: Tobacco-free vapes are exempt from the sales ban, though their use will be restricted in newly designated vape-free zones.
